Each student is unique and has individual needs. While many students may have the ability to adapt their learning to one dominant method or style used in a particular classroom, others may have difficulty. In such cases, to ensure equal access to learning opportunities and information, learning needs must be recognized and stated.
An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is one tool that can be used to assist educators and parents in recognizing and accommodating for the special needs of students. Like a fingerprint, an IEP should be unique to the student. Click on the image below to view a presentation about the IEP process.
